SLAYTON -- The Senior LinkAge Line is offering free assistance to complete the 1040a tax form to obtain the 2007 tax rebate.
Those who do not normally file a tax return and need assistance should call 1-800-333-2433 to set up an appointment.
People will need to bring the 1099 form, which shows Social Security income for 2007. If the 1099 form isn't available, a bank statement showing monthly Social Security deposit is acceptable.
