SLAYTON -- The Southwest Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership is seeking applications for Transportation Enhancement Projects eligible in 2013 for federal funding in Pipestone and Murray counties. Projects require a 20 percent cash match. A pre-application is due to the Regional Development Commission by Sept. 15, and the final application deadline is Oct. 6.
Projects must have a substantial relationship to the transportation system in terms of function or impact. The minimum project request is $50,000, and a local financial cash match of 20 percent is required. Projects must be sponsored by state agencies, counties, cities with more than 5,000 population or Indian reservations.
