SHELDON, Iowa -- Law enforcement officials have arrested and charged two people in the burglaries at Village Treasure Chest and Glen's Sports Center in Sheldon, Iowa, on July 28 and 29.
Officers from the Dubuque Police Department arrested Matthew Paul Beecher, 21, of Dubuque, Iowa, on an O'Brien County arrest warrant for burglary in the third degree.
Beecher was charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree, one count of theft in the third degree and one count of criminal mischief in the third degree. He was transported to the O'Brien County Jail.
A 14-year-old male from Sheldon was also charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree, one count of theft in the third degree and one count of criminal mischief in the third degree. He was transported to a juvenile detention facility.
Assisting the Sheldon Police Department with the investigation were the O'Brien County Sheriff's Department and the Dubuque Police Department.

Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the crimes, and additional charges are possible in the case.
