Businesses close for July 4

WORTHINGTON - Due to Independence Day landing on Saturday, some local businesses and offices as well as all federal, state, county and city offices will be closed Friday in observance of the holiday.
The Worthington post office will be closed Saturday; there will be no mail delivery. Local financial institutions will be open Friday and closed Saturday. The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nobles County Library will be closed both Friday and Saturday.
Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart will maintain normal business hours, but Fareway will be closed Saturday. The Worthington Liquor Store will be open regular hours Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Worthington garbage and recycling pickup routes will remain the same.
The Daily Globe will not publish Saturday; the weekend edition will come out on Friday. The business office will be closed both Friday and Saturday.
Minnesota West Community & Technical College will be closed both Friday and Saturday.
