SIBLEY, Iowa -- A man found dead early Monday morning near railroad tracks one-half mile north of Sibley has been identified.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and Union Pacific Police have confirmed that Brandon Gould, 29, of Pleasanton, Calif., has been identified as the individual who has found. An Osceola County Sheriff’s Office press release stated that Gould appeared to have been a transient riding on a train that left Council Bluffs, Iowa, and was heading to Valley Park. At the conclusion of the investigation and autopsy, the cause for Gould falling off the train and on to the tracks is unknown, but the incident has been ruled an accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
