Amy Bechler and Travis Chapa, both of Pipestone, announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Deb Scoggins, Luverne, Robert Bechler, George, Iowa, and Brian and Kathy Chapa, Ellsworth.
Bechler is a 2005 graduate of Ellsworth High School. She is currently a student in the cosmetology program at Minnesota West Community College, Pipestone campus. She is employed at Subway, Pipestone.
Chapa is a 2007 graduate of Ellsworth High School and is currently a student at South Dakota State University, Brookings, pursing a degree in construction management. He is employed at Jack-of-Trade Construction, Pipestone.
They plan an Aug. 16 wedding.
