JEFFERS - A Jeffers man has been formally charged after allegedly stabbing a 63-year-old man multiple times and threatening police with a homemade bomb on Saturday.
Scott Hanson, 43, is facing one count of 1st degree assault resulting in great bodily harm, three charges of 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and an additional charge of possessing an explosive device after a previous conviction of a violent crime.
Hanson’s bail hearing was held Tuesday morning with the amounts set at $500,000 without conditions and $250,000 with. Hanson makes his next appearance in court July 15.
