City band delivers July 4 concert

WORTHINGTON -- The "Amazing" Worthington City Band will share a concert of patriotic and Americana musical selections at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Chautauqua Park, Worthington.

WORTHINGTON - The “Amazing” Worthington City Band will share a concert of patriotic and Americana musical selections at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Chautauqua Park, Worthington.
With Mike Peterson conducting, the band is slated to perform a few classic marches (“On the Square,” “The Liberty Bell” and “Stars & Stripes Forever”), as well as the tribute “Marches of the Armed Forces.” Also included on the program are “Gimme that Old Time Religion,” “Tunes of Glory,” “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and “God of Our Fathers.”
Nobles County Commissioner Matt Widboom will emcee the concert, while Teresa and Riley Widboom will be the intermission entertainers.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center.
