City band to entertain with ‘Them Basses’

WORTHINGTON - Wednesday night’s 7:30 p.m. concert by the “Amazing” Worthington City Band will highlight the band’s tuba section as it performs “Them Basses.”
Additional selections at the Chautauqua Park band shell will include three marches (“Military Escort,” “American Patrol” and “Colonel Bogey”), as well as “This Land is Your Land” and “On a Clear Day.”
Mike Peterson conducts the ensemble. Officer Jackie Bomgaars of the Worthington Police Department will serve as the night’s emcee, while piano students of Diane Mick will share pieces for the intermission entertainment.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center.
