City band to get ‘Close to You’ at Wednesday concert

WORTHINGTON -- Under the guest baton of Louise Clausen, the "Amazing" Worthington City Band will present its second-to-last concert of the summer season at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Chautauqua Park.

WORTHINGTON - Under the guest baton of Louise Clausen, the “Amazing” Worthington City Band will present its second-to-last concert of the summer season at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Chautauqua Park.
Program selections include “Close to You,” “Instant Concert,” “Andy’s Theme,” “Edelweiss,” “Bill Bailey” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” as well as the “United Nations March” and “Circus Days.”
Slated to be the evening’s emcee is Tammy Makram, managing director of Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center (MAPAC), while dancers from Kay Williams Prunty’s The Dance Academy will provide intermission entertainment.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place at MAPAC.
