Class for substituting in schools is Tuesday

WORTHINGTON -- District 518 will host an orientation program for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Room 142 at Prairie Elementary.

WORTHINGTON - District 518 will host an orientation program for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Room 142 at Prairie Elementary.

 

The district is in need of additional substitute teachers and paraprofessionals for each of its four school buildings. This orientation will provide information about what is involved in a typical day of substituting. There will be information provided about the application process, duties, expectations, scheduling and wages.

 

Individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in any field may apply for a Minnesota substitute teaching license. There is a fee to obtain this license.

There is no fee for this class, but registering allows to have enough paperwork ready to fill out. Phone District 518 Community Education at 376-6105 to register.
