Community ed hosting solo cooking class

WORTHINGTON - Lessons on how to make healthy enjoyable meals for one will be hosted in November and December.

Participants will be able to experiment and try new dishes and ingredients, as well as learn some new skills. Shalynn Anderson of The Beach House is the teacher for the class, which will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m..Dec. 4 in the Worthington Middle School Home Ec room.

November’s class will include information about planning meals for the week, preparing ahead and using leftovers in new dishes. December’s session will include information about using the freezer as a huge benefit in storing prepared meals, buying in bulk and what freezing method works best.

Attendees will be able to try the foods they cook each class night. To register, contact Worthington District 518 Community Education at 376-6105.
