WORTHINGTON — A Worthington man is facing criminal charges related to sending sexually explicit photos to he believed was a 15-year-old boy and requesting some in return.
According to the criminal complaint, Kevin V. Souksavath, 51, began communicating with an undercover law enforcement agent in April after connecting with him on the dating site Grindr. Souksavath exchanged his cell phone number with the undercover cop.
Despite the undercover agent telling Souksavath he was only 15 years old, Souksavath allegedly continued the conversation, requesting sexually explicit photos. Souksavath also sent two photos of his penis to the undercover officer, the complaint states.
In an interview with law enforcement, Souksavath admitted to chatting with and sending two pictures of a penis to a boy while he was at his home.
He's faces two felony charges: engage in electronic communication relating or describing sexual conduct with a child and distribution via electronic communication material that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child.
Souksavath's conditional bail was scheduled at $5,000 and his unconditional at $20,000. According to court records, he posted bond on Monday.
