BADGER, Minn. -- A Badger man has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly touching a minor girl inappropriately over a span of years.

John Oliver Dybedahl, 43, was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree for allegedly touching a minor child inappropriately multiple times over several years.

The child, now 15, reported that the alleged assault had occurred around 25 times since she was 11 or 12. The child reported the most recent incident occurred about a month ago, Dybedahl’s criminal complaint stated.

According to the court document, after agreeing to come in for questioning and being read his Miranda rights, Dybedahl “admitted that he had a significant relationship to the minor child” and had touched her inappropriately approximately 10 times over the past few years.

“The defendant indicated that everything the minor child had reported had happened and that the minor child would not lie,” the document stated.

Dybedahl made his first court appearance on Friday. His next scheduled hearing is for Feb. 4.

Dybedahl is listed as the transportation director for Greenbush Middle River School District in Greenbush, Minn. In a statement to the Herald district superintendent Thomas Jerome said the district is “investigating a complaint involving” Dybedahl.
