Worthington man accused of molesting girls he babysat
WORTHINGTON — A Worthington man accused of sexually molesting two girls he babysat more than five years ago is facing charges in Nobles County District Court.
Charges were filed Friday against Khammany Phimsen, 52, in relation to an investigation that began in June when a girl told an individual that she had been molested by Phimsen when he acted as her babysitter. She claimed to have witnessed Phimsen also molest her younger sister. The person the alleged victim told was classified as someone considered a mandated reporter by law.
While the complaint details the accused offense, it’s being withheld to protect the victim. The accusation did not include penetration.
The victim also claimed that Phimsen showed her a video on his cell phone of two people having sex.
Phimsen faces three counts of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct of a victim less than 13 years old and felony distribution via electronic communication material that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child.
Because Phimsen had not been arrested by Friday afternoon, no mugshot was available.
