Worthington man to serve more than five years for sexual assault of juvenile
WORTHINGTON — A Worthington man was sentenced to just less than five and a half years in prison related to sexually abusing a juvenile younger than 13.
Gustavo Saenz, 63, was convicted Wednesday of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, both felonies. Four other charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Saenz has the opportunity to serve two-thirds of his 65-month sentence in prison, with the remaining one-third on supervised release. A 41-month prison sentence for one of the counts will be served concurrently with the 65-month sentence. He will serve conditional release for the remainder of his life.
Saenz was charged in November following an abnormal physical exam of a child and her related statements to a doctor, court documents say.
