WORTHINGTON — Michael Angelo Fraga, 29, of Worthington, faces fraud charges and a maximum sentence of five years in prison and/or $10,000.
Fraga was arrested last week after an ex-girlfriend called the police and said Fraga had stolen her debit card from a vehicle and attempted fraudulent ATM transactions. Fraga knew the debit card's PIN from his past relationship with the victim.
The attempted transactions amounted to $400, $200 and $20, but the victim was unsure if Fraga had been successful in withdrawing the money.
When Fraga was apprehended, he told law enforcement, "I did it. I admit to it. That's all I want to say."
