WORTHINGTON — A former Luverne woman accused of running a sexually illicit massage parlor in Worthington was sentenced to 90 days in jail late last month.

According to court records, Huiwen Chen, 55, now of Sioux Falls, S.D., was convicted of misdemeanor prostitution after pleading guilty to agreeing to be hired to engage in a “single instance” of sexual contact during a massage session, her plea agreement stated.

Eighty-six days of her jail sentence was stayed for one year of supervised probation. She was given four days credit for time served. She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.

The state’s case against Chen was filed in March 2018 following an undercover investigation by a Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force agent based on Blue Moon Massage and Sauna's advertising and web presence on RubMap, a website featuring erotic massage parlors.

Conditions of her probation prohibit her from masseuse work during her probationary period.
