Crashes

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: 9:26 a.m. Monday, Iowa 60 near 260th Street. A 2010 Chrysler Town and Country operated by Shea Driesen, 25, of Sheldon, Iowa was southbound when it struck the back of a gravity wagon being pulled by a 2015 Case Maxxum tractor operated by Justin Jacobs, 35, of Rushmore. The Chrysler hit the left corner of the wagon and then swerved left into the median. The Chrysler sustained approximately $6,000 in damages, while the wagon had about $3,000 in damage. Driesen, who claimed to have dropped her phone and was looking for it, was cited for following too closely. She was transported by the Sibley Ambulance to Osceola Community Hospital with minor injuries. Jacobs was uninjured. The Ashton Fire Department also assisted.
