WORTHINGTON — An Adrian woman was arrested in the middle of the night Monday after being stopped in a stolen vehicle at a time her license was revoked.

A Worthington police officer stopped Rachel P. Roberts, 30, at 4:07 a.m. Monday in a silver Mercedes that had been reported stolen from Adrian.

According to the complaint, Roberts admitted during a post-arrest interview to stealing the vehicle and using methamphetamine the previous night. A urine sample was collected for testing.

Roberts faces charges of felony theft of a motor vehicle; driving while impaired, a gross misdemeanor; and driving after license revocation, a misdemeanor. The motor vehicle theft charge — the most serious offense — carries a maximum punishment of five years imprisonment, a $10,000 fine or both.

Roberts' conditional bail was scheduled at $1,500, her unconditional at $10,000.
