Minnesota State Patrol: 6:48 p.m. Wednesday, Plotts Avenue and Minnesota 60. A 2011 Peterbilt semi driven by Dylan Fullerton, 25, of Sanborn, was southbound on Minnesota 60 when a 2003 Peterbilt semi driven by Steven Spaans, 36, of Rock Valley, Iowa, attempted to make a left turn from northbound Minnesota 60 onto Plotts Avenue. The two semis collided. Fullerton, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. Spaans, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. The state patrol also reports that Spaans had alcohol in his system. Assisting at the scene were the Worthington Police Department, Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Worthington Fire and Rescue and Sanford Ambulance.

Minnesota State Patrol: 7:37 a.m. Friday, Highway 71 at mile marker 31, Great Bend Township, Cottonwood County. A Chevy Silverado was making a left turn and was stopped in traffic. Another Chevy Silverado and a 2005 Dodge Durango driven by Sebastian Reyes Vidales, 20, of Mountain Lake, were slowing for the first Silverado when a Dodge Neon driven by Mylus Ayers, 26, of St. James was unable to stop and struck the Dodge Durango, which struck the Chevy Silverado, which then struck the other Chevy Silverado. The report wasn’t clear regarding which Chevy Silverado was attempting the turn. The driver of the 2008 Chevy Silverado was Jose Luis Garza, 53, of St. James, while the driver of the 2014 Chevy Silverado was Brett David Nolte, 34, of Windom. The drivers of the Silverados and the Durango, as well as a passenger in the Durango, Yorkabied Beyene, 21, of Worthington, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Beyene was transported to Windom Hospital for treatment. All parties were wearing seatbelts, and there was no alcohol involved.
