Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: 5 p.m. Tuesday, Lyon County A34 approximately 1½ miles east of George, Iowa. A 2017 Chevy Cruse operated by Nova Strouth, 22, of Sibley, Iowa struck a deer on the roadway The vehicle sustained approximately $4,000 in damages.

Minnesota State Patrol: 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. 75 and 120th Avenue, Denver Township, Rock County. A 2019 Peterbilt semi operated by Ronald Allen Van Grootheest, 60, of Edgerton was northbound and collided with a 2012 Buick Regal operated by Deborah Maymee Javner, 53, of Hardwick that was southbound in the northbound lane. Both Van Grootheest and Javner were transported to Sanford Luverne Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Edgerton Fire and Rescue, Sanford Luverne Ambulance, Pipestone Ambulance, and the Rock County and Pipestone County sheriff’s offices assisted.
