WINDOM — A former Worthington woman was arrested in Windom Saturday afternoon when police received a report of a domestic assault in progress.

Patrice Tate, 30, of Waite Park, was reportedly having a verbal argument with the victim's mother, then began punching the victim. According to the victim's mother, Tate and the victim were in the garage when the mother heard Tate getting loud. When the mother opened the door, she saw Tate pounding on the victim's chest with both hands.

Tate has two previous domestic violence-related convictions from 2019 and one pending domestic violence case from 2020.

She is being held in Cottonwood County Jail on bail set at $1,000 with conditions or $10,000 without.
