LESTER, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's office investigated a two-vehicle accident at 10:47 p.m. Friday about three miles northeast of Lester. Rodney Delfs, 40, of rural Rock Rapids, Iowa, was driving a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup westbound on 130th Street. Bruce Hasche, 50, of rural Rock Rapids, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet 2500 pickup southbound on Eagle Avenue. No injuries were reported. The 1992 was a total loss with an estimated damaged of $5,000. The 2000 Ford sustained approximately $10,000 in damages, and an electrical box owned by Lyon Rural Electric Cooperative received approximately $1,500 in damages. Delfs was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right, a simple misdemeanor.
