SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigated an accident at 4:56 a.m. Tuesday on Iowa 9, east of Nettle Avenue. Jackalyne Lea Hieronimus, 43, of Adrian, was driving a 2002 Ford Escort, fell asleep and went off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The Escort struck a guardrail, sustaining about $5,000 in damages. The guardrail sustained about $3,500 in damages, and a field fence, $50 in damages. Hieronimus was transported to Osceola Community Hospital with incapacitating injuries. She was cited for failure to maintain control. Sibley Fire & Rescue, Sibley Ambulance, Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources assisted at the accident scene.

AVOCA -- The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a two-vehicle rear-end accident at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 59, 1½ miles south of Avoca. Douglas Paplow, 60, of Fulda, was driving a John Deere 4430 tractor pulling two empty gravity wagons. Zara Nasers, 26, of Avoca, was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer. Neither driver had apparent injuries. The second wagon and the Mitsubishi sustained severe damage.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated an accident involving a car and a light pole at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on 10th Street by the post office.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 10:23 a.m. Wednesday to 2175 Nobles St. to assist a woman who had fallen and hit her head.

DUNDEE -- The Fulda Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on CRP land at 4:51 p.m. Tuesday in Section 7 of Graham Lakes Township.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a domestic situation reported at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday from the 1000 block of 13th Street.
