WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated an accident involving a car and a pole reported at 4:53 p.m. Monday at Olson Park, Nobles County 10.
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's Office investigated a two-vehicle hit-and-run accident at 6 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 75. Patricia Jager, 39, of Hull, Iowa, was driving a 2002 Hyundia Sonata north on U.S. 75. At the intersection with A52 (260th Street), Jager observed a red vehicle, possibly a Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix, approaching U.S. 75. The red vehicle ran the stop sign and collided with Jager's vehicle, then left the scene and continued east on A52. Both Jager and a 6-month-old infant were checked by the George, Iowa, Rescue Squad, but no injuries were reported. Jager's vehicle sustained approximately $1,800 in damages.
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's Office investigated a two-vehicle accident at 10:02 a.m. Monday at Iowa 9 and Marsh Avenue. Gerald Tuttle, 60, of Okoboji, Iowa, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. Tracy Daniels, 19, of George, Iowa, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 owned by Farmer's Co-Op of Sioux Center, Iowa. No injuries were reported. The Silverado sustained approximately $8,000 in damages, and the Ford sustained approximately $6,000 in damages. Daniels was cited for failure to yield upon left turn.

WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office investigated a burglary reported at 3 p.m. Monday from the 31000 block of 310th Street.
WORTHINGTON -- ShopKo, 1755 N. Humiston Ave., apprehended an adult female shoplifter at 5 p.m. Monday. She was booked and released.
WORTHINGTON -- ShopKo, 1755 N. Humiston Ave., apprehended a juvenile female shoplifter at 6:15 p.m. Monday. She was released to her mother.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited a 27-year-old female for driving after suspension and failure to provide proof of insurance at 8:03 p.m. Monday at Eighth Street and Eighth Avenue.
ROUND LAKE -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office cited a 42-year-old male for driving after revocation, revoked plates and no insurance at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Rohrer Street.
