SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at 3:35 p.m. Monday on Maple Drive in Sibley. Tenille Lynn Broesder, 27, of Little Rock, Iowa, was driving a 2015 Chevy Cruze southbound on Maple Drive when her vehicle struck a mailbox post near a driveway. The vehicle came to rest on top of the post. Broesder said she was distracted by her phone; she was cited for failure to maintain control. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle sustained $8,500 in damage.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office apprehended an adult male on a Lyon County warrant and cited him for driving while suspended and failure to appear on charges of third-degree theft during a traffic stop at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.
