WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated an accident at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday on Minnesota 266. A citation was issued to an adult female for no insurance, and an adult male for inattentive driving.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a hit-and-run accident at 6:11 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of 11th Street.

Fire

BIGELOW -- The Bigelow Fire Department was paged to a garage fire at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Rich and Michelle Ackerman home, 1658 Broadway St. A garage was engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene, but they were able to save the attached house, according to Bigelow Fire Chief Warren Van Westen. The garage is a total loss, along with its contents, including two cars, a motorcycle and a snowmobile. Van Westen said the house suffered smoke damage. The State Fire Marshal was called to the scene, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Firefighters were on the scene for approximately two and one-half hours.

Police

ADRIAN -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Department investigated a report of a car in the ditch at 12:46 a.m. Wednesday on Cory Avenue near Adrian. An adult male was arrested and cited for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and driving after suspension. A juvenile female was arrested for underage drinking and driving.

ROUND LAKE -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Department investigated the theft of flags from a lawn at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Rohrer Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated an assault at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of White Lane.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated vandalism to a vehicle reported at 1:56 a.m. Thursday on West Oxford Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated the reports of four vehicles damaged in the 1100 block of Ryan's Road at 8:05 a.m. Thursday.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated two reports of aggravated forgery in Worthington at 10:31 p.m. Thursday.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated the report of an employee theft at Dollar General, 1190 Ryan's Road, at 11:35 a.m. Thursday. An adult female was arrested on charges of theft.

Joe and Sheila Erwin, Rushmore, are the parents of a boy, Jordan Joseph, born Aug. 5 at Sioux Valley Luverne Hospital. Grandparents are Linda Lenz and Randy Lenz, both of Adrian, and Sue Erwin, Luverne.
