SIBLEY, Iowa - The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a truck-vs.-cattle crash at 7:55 p.m. Thursday. Brent R. Beck, 54, of Milford, Iowa was driving a 2001 Ford F350 eastbound on Iowa 9. Two black cattle belonging to Michael Rolfes of Sibley got loose and were in the roadway as Beck was traveling. Due to the dark color of both the cattle and the outside, Beck was unable to see the cattle and struck them both. The cattle were valued at $20,000 and $15,000 each. The vehicle received approximately $15,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.
