SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigated a one-vehicle accident at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Steven Travaille, 48, of Melvin, Iowa, was driving a 2005 Mazda pickup eastbound on 250th Street from Melvin. He lost control of the vehicle and went into the south ditch and the vehicle flipped onto its top. The vehicle received $7,000 worth of damages. There were no injuries, and Travaille was cited for failure to maintain control.
SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigated a one-vehicle accident at 7:13 a.m. Tuesday. Diane Reed, 40, of Sibley, was eastbound on 180th Street driving a 1996 Dodge Caravan. Reed lost control of the vehicle as she went around the curve at Exopac. The vehicle entered the north ditch and flipped onto its top. Damage to the minivan was $4,000. Reed was transported by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital with unknown injuries. She was cited for failure to maintain control.
WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Department investigated a rollover accident at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday on Nobles County 5.
SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigated an accident at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday. Leticia DeLeon-MiralRio, 41, of Sibley, was driving a 2005 Honda Pilot when she backed out of a residential driveway and struck a parked vehicle belonging to Dallas Poss of Sibley. There was $500 damage to the Honda and $700 damage to the Poss vehicle. DeLeon-MiralRio was cited for improper backing.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident at 2:16 p.m. Wednesday at 10th Street.
Fire
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Fire Department was dispatched at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday to Great Clips, 1551 Ryan's Road, where a strong odor of natural gas was detected. Aquila Gas Co. also responded to the scene.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Fire Department was dispatched at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday to 1538 N. Spring Ave., where a fire was reported in a bedroom. There was a problem with an electrical outlet.
Police
SIBLEY, Iowa -- David Charles Nachtigal, 23, of Ashton, Iowa, was charged Dec. 23 with failure to comply with Iowa Sex Offender Registry requirements. Nachtigal allegedly failed to notify the Osceola County Sheriff of an address/residence change as required by the Iowa Sex Offender Registry law. Nachtigal was convicted of a similar charge in September 2005, making this second offense a Class D Felony.
SIBLEY, Iowa -- Andrew James Ricker, 37, Sheldon, Iowa, was charged with an alleged theft of a motor vehicle, OWI, public intoxication and driving under suspension. A 1989 Ford Ranger was allegedly taken from a residence in Melvin, Iowa. The vehicle was located south of Vine and 250th Street, where it had struck the east side of the four-way bridge. Ricker is being held in the Osceola County Jail on $12,000 bond.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a burglary at 8:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Clary Street.

SIBLEY, Iowa -- Two juvenile males, one age 15 from Bigelow and one 16 from Sibley, were charged Tuesday with criminal mischief and theft. According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office report, the juveniles entered Tjaden's Laundromat in Sibley and allegedly caused damage to a dryer, a cash machine and a soap dispenser. Money and soap were taken from the soap dispenser.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated the report of a stolen wooden storage shed at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of Spruce Avenue.
