Accidents
SHELDON, Iowa -- The Sheldon Police Department investigated an accident at 7:37 p.m. Saturday on 4th Avenue between 6th and 7th streets in Sheldon, John Joseph Butler, 34, of Sheldon, was driving a 1995 Chrysler registered to Lori Thiessen, Sheldon, northbound on 4th Ave. Butler drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a legally parked 1995 Dodge van registered to Roy Hoppe, Sheldon. Butler then continued northbound and again drove off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck two trees before rolling over onto its top in the front yard of 604 4th Ave., Sheldon. Butler and his passenger, Thomas Michael Butler Jr., 35, were transported to Northwest Iowa Health Center by the Sheldon Community Ambulance. An investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of an accident at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday to Swift and Co., 1700 Minnesota 60 North.

BREWSTER -- The Brewster Rescue and Worthington Ambulance were paged at 6:24 p.m. Monday to assist a male who was having a diabetic reaction.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday to 1002 South Shore Drive to assist a diabetic male who was unconscious.

Scott and Vicki Knigge, Worthington, are the parents of a girl, Samantha Marie, born Feb. 2 at Worthington Regional Hospital. Grandparents are Lloyd and Marian Phelps and Fred and Carolyn Knigge, all of Worthington. Great-grandparents are June Wiese and Fritz and Kathy Knigge, all of Worthington.
