BREWSTER - The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated an accident at 8:40 p.m. Friday in the 12000 block of Third Avenue.
GEORGE, Iowa - The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car versus deer accident Saturday. The accident occurred just south of George on L-14/ Kennedy Avenue. William Kruse, 24, of George, Iowa, was northbound on L-14 when a deer entered the roadway. Kruse struck the deer causing an estimated $2500 in damage to his vehicle.
GEORGE, Iowa - Florence Eben, 85, of George, was operating a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country van eastbound in the alley between East Iowa Avenue and East Michigan Avenue. As she approached the intersection with the alley between Main Street and Baldwin Street she slowed to check to see if it was clear. She slid through and hit in the rear passenger door a 2012 Chevy Captiva operated by Albert Korthals, 82, of George. The Chrysler sustained approximately $2000 dollars in damage and the Chevy sustained approximately $1000 in damage. There were no injuries reported.

WORTHINGTON - The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of motor vehicle theft at 3:01 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue. An adult male was arrested for the theft at 6:41 a.m.
