SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one-vehicle rollover at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday. Justin Smith, 23, of Iona, was driving a 1998 International semi pulling a load of grain eastbound on 100th St. He lost control of the vehicle due to a reported problem with the steering, and it entered the south ditch, overturned and came to rest on its side. Smith was transported by Osceola County Ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital, Sibley, for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle, which belongs to Smith Farms of Wilmont, sustained $60,000 in damages.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a minor crash reported at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from an alleyway in the 200 block of 12th Street.
Police JACKSON -- The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigated a theft of items reported at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday from the FCA parking lot. Items reported stolen were an orange and black Isuzu air compressor, a white 2003 T-300v Bobcat skid loader with the forks attached, and a 2015 car haul trailer with South Dakota plates.
