SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa -- The Iowa State Patrol investigated a report of a two-vehicle accident at 11:59 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Iowa 9 and U.S. 71. A 2002 Buick Park Avenue operated by Roy Boles, 82, of Spirit Lake, failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria -- a marked Iowa State Patrol car -- operated by Brian Axford, 30, of Spirit Lake. Axford was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare, Spirit Lake, with an undisclosed injury.
ADRIAN -- The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a report of a one-vehicle accident at 3:06 p.m. Monday on Interstate 90, near milepost 22 on the westbound side. A 1999 Buick operated by Ray Syslo, 66, of Lincoln, Neb., entered the median, crossed the westbound lanes, entered the ditch and rolled over, coming to rest upside down. Syslo was treated and released. A passenger, Peter Gadient, 88, of Lincoln, incurred a non- life-threatening injury.

ADRIAN -- The Luverne Ambulance was dispatched at 8:07 a.m. Monday to Arnold Memorial Healthcare Center, 603 Louisiana Ave., for a male who was experiencing stroke symptoms.

WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office investigated the theft of a bank card reported at 5:40 p.m. Friday from rural Worthington.
READING -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office received a report of a projectile from a passing vehicle hitting another vehicle at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Nobles County 25 and McCall Avenue.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a theft of $300 at 1:33 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of theft of a wallet from a locker at 2:54 p.m. Monday at Swift & Co., 1700 Minnesota 60 N.
Births
Andrew and Angele Gruis, Bigelow, are the parents of a boy, Austin Drew, born June 25 at Worthington Regional Hospital. Grandparents are Daryle and Rachelle Gruis, Worthington, and Glenn and Barb Persing, Chandler. Great-grandparents are Shirley Gruis, Rose Bixby and Alice Persing, all of Worthington, and Elmer and Dillie Hart, Chandler.
