Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: Thursday, intersection of South Union Street and Third Avenue, Rock Rapids, Iowa. A 2019 Kia Soul operated by Timothy Reardon of Edgewood, N.M, and owned by Auto Rental Services LLC was stopped in traffic when he was rear-ended by a 2013 Nissan Altima operated by Jerry Stratton of Rock Rapids. Each vehicle received an estimated $4,500 in damage. No injuries were reported.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: Michael Morris, 52, of Kent, Wash. was arrested on a warrant Wednesday for fourth-degree theft. He was lodged in the Lyon County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. He was additionally charged with one count of fifth-degree theft. The bond for that charge was $300 cash or surety.
