Accidents
MELVIN, Iowa -- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office investigated the report of a two-vehicle crash on 250th Street, west of Taft Avenue, at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday. Involved were a 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by Mark Shane Nellis, 18, of Melvin, and a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Jamey Lynn Petersen, 40, of Melvin. Nellis' vehicle sustained approximately $12,000 in damage, while Sorensen's vehicle sustained $15,000 in damage. Petersen sustained possible injuries, but did not receive medical attention at the scene.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday to Swift & Co., 1700 N. Hwy. 60, for a domestic in progress. An individual was transported.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 4:52 a.m. Thursday to 219 E. 12th St. for a female complaining of chest and back pain. The patient was transported.

Jeff Wiertzema and Danielle Milner, Brandon, S.D., are the parents of a girl, Audrey Nicole, born March 12 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. Grandparents are Dan and Diana Nelson, Valley Springs, S.D., Scott and Sindi Wiertzema and Rick Milner and Sandy Milner, all of Brandon. Great-grandparents are Bud and Pat Henderschiedt and Orv and Nancy Wiertzema, all of Worthington, and Roger and Doris Campbell, Brandon.
