KINBRAE -- The Brewster Fire Department was paged to Kinbrae Supper Club at 6:45 p.m. Friday when the building filled up with smoke.

ALVORD, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested Miguel Olvera Hernandez, 36, of 2421 220th St. near Alvord for domestic abuse assault, a serious misdemeanor, on Monday.
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of shoplifting Tuesday at the PNP Gas Station in Rock Rapids.
The suspect fled the site in a vehicle and a witness pursued the vehicle. A license plate check on the vehicle revealed it had been stolen in Minneapolis. The witness directed authorities to the suspect's location and direction of travel by using a cell phone.
The vehicle was stopped approximately one mile west of Lester, Iowa. The driver, Viola Blossom Conner, 31, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license, theft in the second degree (possession of stolen property), a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, operating while under the influence of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor, and theft in the fifth degree, a simple misdemeanor.
Conner's passenger, Frank S. Bledsoe, 44, was charged with theft in the second degree (possession of stolen property), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited a 75-year-old female for a school bus stop arm violation at 3:05 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Oxford Street and North Burlington Avenue.
WILMONT -- The Worthington Police Department cited a 32-year-old male for a dishonored check at 2:10 p.m. Friday at Wilmont Liquor Store.
