Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: van-vs.-deer crash, 8 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. 75 between 160th and 170th streets, south of Rock Rapids, Iowa. A 2012 Chrysler Town and Country minivan operated by a 14-year-old George, Iowa resident was traveling southbound when a deer entered the roadway. The van, owned by Randall and Tabitha Janssen of George, sustained about $2,500 in damages. No injuries were reported.
