Jackson City Council candidate Chad Petersen was referring to a former Jackson police chief when he spoke about the police chief not living in Jackson. Current Police Chief Anthony Legnani lives in Jackson. The information was unclear in an article on the Jackson County candidate forum in the Oct. 10 Daily Globe.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Fire Department was paged at 2:35 p.m. Thursday to Okabena Estates in response to a fire alarm.
MAGNOLIA -- The Magnolia and Luverne fire departments were paged at 7:31 p.m. Thursday to 1192 200th Ave. for a barn fire. An electrical fire caused about $2,000 in damage to a small barn owned by Harold Schneiderman. No animals or people were hurt.
