Clarification

Jackson City Council candidate Chad Petersen was referring to a former Jackson police chief when he spoke about the police chief not living in Jackson. Current Police Chief Anthony Legnani lives in Jackson. The information was unclear in an article on the Jackson County candidate forum in the Oct. 10 Daily Globe.

Fire

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Fire Department was paged at 2:35 p.m. Thursday to Okabena Estates in response to a fire alarm.

MAGNOLIA -- The Magnolia and Luverne fire departments were paged at 7:31 p.m. Thursday to 1192 200th Ave. for a barn fire. An electrical fire caused about $2,000 in damage to a small barn owned by Harold Schneiderman. No animals or people were hurt.

WILMONT -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of identity theft at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Third Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of possession of stolen property at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of forgery at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wal-Mart.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of an assault at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday at El Azteca.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department arrested a 22-year-old male for gross misdemeanor theft at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday at the Ryan's Road strip mall.

BIGELOW -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office arrested a 22-year-old male for third degree driving while impaired at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Minnesota 60 and 340th Street. His vehicle was towed.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a theft of a political sign at 7 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of West Lake Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of thefts of numerous political signs in the past week at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of burglary at 10:03 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of 11th Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a theft of a gun at 10:20 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Orchard Road.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 2:52 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Okabena.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a theft of a political sign at 3:12 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of James Boulevard.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited a 41-year-old male for driving without a license and without insurance at 2:54 p.m. Thursday at East Acres Trailer Court. His vehicle was towed.

Births

Brendan and Brittany Nagel, Muscatine, Iowa, are the parents of a girl, Adelynn Rose, born Oct. 11 at the Muscatine Hospital. Grandparents are Rita Beecroft, Worthington, Lou and Tori Nagel, Annandale, and Gary and Michelle Carlisle, Muscatine.

Justin and Amanda Sieve, Detroit Lakes, are the parents of a boy, Owen August, born Oct. 3 at St. Mary's Hospital, Detroit Lakes. Grandparents are Dennis and Mary Jo Dierks, Fulda, Sharon Giugler, Wilmont, and Doug Sieve, Slayton. Great-grandparents are Elnora Dierks, Fulda, and Lloyd and Clara Fuerstenberg, Wilmont.
