SUPERIOR, Iowa -- The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office investigated a two-vehicle accident Wednesday one mile west of Superior on Iowa 9. Involved were a 2005 Chevy Malibu operated by Delores Loewenberg, rural Spirit Lake, Iowa, and a 1992 Toyota Camry operated by Barbara Golinghorst, Sherburn. Both vehicles were estimated to be total losses, and the drivers of both vehicles were transported to Lakes Regional Hospital, Spirit Lake, for treatment of injuries. Loewenberg was cited for failure to maintain control.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a two-vehicle crash at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday on Clary Street, at the intersection of Diagonal Road. Involved were vehicles driven by Robert Gieser, Worthington, and Michael Doeden, Worthington. The Worthington Ambulance was called to the scene for transport of the injured.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a two-vehicle crash at 6:16 a.m. Thursday on Oxford Street, at the intersection of U.S. 59/Minnesota 60. Involved were vehicles driven by Juan Galves Rodriguez, Worthington, and Amado Ramirez-Cifuentes, Worthington.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a car that drove into the creek on Nobles Street, near James Boulevard, at 7:10 a.m. Thursday.

RUSHMORE -- The Rushmore Rescue and Adrian Ambulance were paged at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday to 21672 230th St. for an adult male experiencing shortness of breath.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged to 426 10th St. at 2 p.m. Thursday to assist a female with a diabetic reaction. The individual was transported.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department was paged to the 1000 block of Ryan's Road for a hit & run at 11:22 a.m. Thursday.

Paul and Haylie Pettit, Slayton, are the parents of a girl, Chloe Solome, born Sept. 19 at Worthington Regional Hospital. Grandparents are Mel and Camile Snow, Slayton, Gary Pettit, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Andrea Wolter, Corpus Christi, Texas. Great-grandparents are Swede and Lois Wolter, Minneapolis, Dean and Samona Snow, Ainsworth, Neb., Marv and Doris Magnusson, Spearfish, S.D., and Robert and Helen Pettit, Council Bluffs.
