WORTHINGTON - The District 518 “Vote Yes” referendum promotion committee will host weekly meetings up until just prior to the Nov. 5 vote.

The committee is working to promote affirmative votes on two questions that will appear before voters on Election Day.

The first question pertains to authorizing the local school board to issue school bonding bonds up to $38,975,000 for the purpose of constructing a new intermediate school (grades 3-5) and making renovations and additions to Prairie Elementary and Worthington High School.

The second ballot question involves approval to revoke the existing referendum revenue authorization (which is due to expire after next year) and replace it with a new authorization for the same per-pupil amount ($1,000) that would be applicable for the next 10 years.

The weekly meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the WHS cafeteria.
