Dollars for Scholars applications sought

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington chapter of Dollars for Scholars will continue to accept applications for 2018 scholarships through a deadline of March 15.

WORTHINGTON - The Worthington chapter of Dollars for Scholars will continue to accept applications for 2018 scholarships through a deadline of March 15.

All Worthington High School seniors are eligible to apply for the awards, which are given to students who will be pursuing post-high school educational opportunities.

In May 2017, the local chapter gave $27,000 in scholarships to 26 graduates from the WHS Class of 2017. Typically, 25 to 30 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 are awarded by the Worthington chapter.

The application process, which is administered online, may be started by high school students at any time simply by visiting worthington.dollarsforscholars.org . Completed applications will not be accepted for consideration after March 15.

End-of-year donations to the Dollars for Scholars fund, which is supported by annual fundraisers, local businesses and community organizations, and individual donors, may also be sent in care of the above address or made via the Dollars for Scholars website.
