Donations sought for school backpack program

WORTHINGTON — Donations are being sought to assist Nobles County children in kindergarten through fourth grade with having backpacks and school supplies on the first day of school.

The distribution date is Aug. 22; distribution address is Westminster Presbyterian Church, 230 Clary St., Worthington. Children must be present to receive their backpacks.,

More than 400 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed last year. Donations may be sent to Manna Food Pantry, 230 Clary St., Worthington 56187.

Backpack volunteers are also being sought for 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 21 and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 22.
