MW to host Kids' College

WORTHINGTON -- Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington, in conjunction with the Nobles County Integration Collaborative, will host Kids' College on Aug. 2-5 at the Worthington campus.

Kids' College is offered to students entering fifth through eighth grades. Students attend courses throughout the week to learn about rockets, archery, art, wireless technology, emergency response and more.

WORTHINGTON -- Southern Minnesota Opportunity Council's Head Start Program in the Worthington/Rushmore/Adrian area is now enrolling children in its early childhood program for 3- and 4-year olds.

Head Start provides educational, health, nutrition and social service assistance to children and their families.

NCC to host senior citizens' event

SHELDON, Iowa -- Northwest Iowa Community College will host its 26th annual Senior Citizens' Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The afternoon program will feature Elaine Peacock. Educational programs, including financial information and cooking demonstrations, will be presented throughout the day.

A congregate meal will be served through the Northwest Aging Association.
