NCIC offers 'Parents Forever' classes
WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Integration Collaborative will offering Parents Forever classes in English from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 18 and Dec. 2 and 9. The facilitator will be Rene Olson.
Padres Para Siempre classes will also be offered in Spanish from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 29, as well as Dec. 6 and 13.
These classes are for parents who are either going through a divorce or have custody issues.

MW agriculture club donates to local boy
WORTHINGTON -- The Minnesota West Community and Technical College Post Secondary Agriculture Club presented a check for $1,005 to Ben Cunningham on Oct. 26 at United Prairie Bank, Round Lake.
Proceeds were made possible by a hog roast the organization hosted during Homecoming week.
"It was an honor for the Minnesota West PAS students to host a hog roast benefit for Ben Cunningham," said Jeff Rogers, PAS Advisor and Minnesota West agriculture instructor. "We served approximately 200 pork meals at three locations in Worthington. Community service is an important component for many students on the Minnesota West campus. Minnesota West enjoys the support from our students on many activities held throughout the year."
MW hosts 'Evening with the Stars'
WORTHINGTON -- Minnesota West Community and Technical College Foundation is hosting an "Evening with the Stars" dinner fundraising event at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 on the Worthington campus.
The event begins at 6 p.m.; dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Minnesota West students, employees and friends of the college. There will also be a silent auction.
Proceeds go to support scholarships for students on the Worthington campus.

Worthington man to perform in recital
WAVERLY, Iowa -- Kyle Fleming, Worthington, and Laura Mackey, will perform a joint trombone and voice recital at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wartburg College, Waverly.
