WORTHINGTON — Seven Worthington High School students participated in the Gustavus Honor Choir Festival at St. Peter on March 8 and 9.

WHS choir director Kerry Johnson said the students were nominated for attendance. They sang in the 125-voice Festival Choir, which was highlighted by the presence of nationally renowned composer/conductor Dr. Joshua Shank.

Gustavus choral directors Dr. Elisabeth Cherland and Dr. Brandon Dean also conducted during the two-day experience, which included choir rehearsals, individual voice lessons and faculty-led master classes involving all participants.

Representing WHS were seniors Faith Arnt, Sarah DeSmith, Kip Jenson, Jacob Mills and Bryce Olsen, along with juniors Ericka Lo and Rosie Melgoza.

A culminating concert took place in Gustavus’s Christ Chapel on Monday evening.
