COTTAGE GROVE - A Friday evening fire at Woodmount Townhomes in Cottage Grove left eight families displaced.
No one was injured in the fire.
Cottage Grove officers responded to the fire, in the 8800 block of 90th Street, shortly after a call at 5:33 p.m. Friday, according to a press release.
Officials don't know what caused the fire, but it doesn't appear to be arson, or suspicious in nature, the release says.
Cottage Grove's police and fire departments, along with the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting the displaced families with food and shelter, according to the release.
The St. Paul Park, Newport, Hastings, Woodbury, Oakdale and Lower St. Croix Valley fire departments assisted the Cottage Grove Fire Department.
