Ellsworth Family Fun Days starts Friday

ELLSWORTH -- Whether you're a fan of regular Bingo or Cow Pie Bingo, a hometown parade, carnival rides or delicious smoked ribs and pork loin, the annual Ellsworth Family Fun Days celebration may be your ticket to fun this weekend.

ELLSWORTH - Whether you’re a fan of regular Bingo or Cow Pie Bingo, a hometown parade, carnival rides or delicious smoked ribs and pork loin, the annual Ellsworth Family Fun Days celebration may be your ticket to fun this weekend.

McDermott Carnival is once again returning to town, with its Midway open at 5 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Advance ride tickets are available from now until 4 p.m. Friday at the Exchange State Bank, Ellsworth Food Center or Ellsworth Locker.

The festival gets under way Friday afternoon, with Legion Bingo under the Main Street tent starting at 4:30 p.m., followed by:

Friday

6 p.m.: Little Miss Ellsworth, Main Street

6 p.m.: Registration for Kids Pedal Pull (ages 4-11)

6:30 p.m.: Kids Pedal Pull, Main Street

8 p.m.: Scavenger Hunt, starts from the tent, Main Street

9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: “In the Wing” DJ/Karaoke, under the tent, Main Street.

 

Saturday
9 a.m.: Great Smoke Out grilling begins
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Craft Fair, City Park
10 a.m.: Registration begins for the kickball tournament, softball diamond

10:30 a.m.: Kickball tournament begins, softball diamond (concessions available)
Noon: Tractor Games, by the elevator
11:30 a.m.: Registration begins for bean bag tournament, City Park

Noon: Bean bag tournament begins, City Park
2 p.m.: Midway opens
2:30 p.m.: “Images of Nobles County” presentation by Nobles County Historical Society, under the tent, Main Street
4 p.m.: Great Smoke Out judging begins, under the tent, Main Street
5 to 6:30 p.m.: Great Smoke Out Meal serving ribs and pork loin, under the tent, Main Street
6:30 p.m.: Parade
8 p.m.: Cow Pie Bingo, Main Street
9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: “4th Floor Band”, under the tent, Main Street
