FAIRMONT -- After putting up 20 points against the Worthington Trojans girls' basketball team in the first half Tuesday, the Fairmont Cardinals exploded for 50 second-half points and rallied for a 70-55 victory.
Ashley Alleven collected 14 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists for the Cardinals, while Michelle Schultz charted 13 points and 12 boards.
Sam Waletich added 10 points and five assists.
For Worthington, Gabby Boever and Ashley Aggen led the way with 11 points each. Boever also had 10 rebounds, while Alex Wetering had 10 points.
Worthington visits Pipestone Area Thursday.

PIPESTONE -- Macie Michelson shot 7-for-12 from the field and finished with 25 points as Marshall upended Pipestone Area, clinching the Southwest Conference title.
Anna Full hit for 18 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field. She also went 6-for-7 at the free-throw line for the Tigers (10-0, 18-4)
Steph Kocourek led Pipestone Area (8-3, 17-4) with 12 points and four rebounds.

LUVERNE -- Scoring the second half's first 14 points, the Luverne Cardinals collected a victory over the Adrian Dragons.
Samantha Gacke and Mindy Nieuwboer each grabbed nine rebounds while scoring 13 and 11 respective points.
Sam Lynn led Adrian with 14 points.
Luverne (15-7) visits JCC next Tuesday, while Adrian (14-8) visits Edgerton Thursday.

MINNEOTA -- Alyssa Buysse netted 27 points and Kristen Roles added 19 to lift Minneota over Edgerton.
Amy Kallemeyn had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead Edgerton (16-5). Teammate Alyson Drooger added 16 points and 11 boards, while Heather Van Kley scored 10 points.

Emily Bose had 23 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks to lead MCC, while Laura Beers had 12 points, eight assists and five steals, and Kasey Schreiber scored 10 points.
Ashley Kirk led T-M-B with 22 points, while Mallory Fultz had 10 points.
