Families Reading Every Day event is Oct. 27

SLAYTON — Families Reading Every Day will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. (story time at 2 p.m.) Oct. 27 at Stonegate Orchard, 1571 116th St., Slayton.

Sponsored by the Murray County Early Childhood Initiative, F.R.E.D. is planned for children up to age 7, but siblings and family members are welcome to attend.

The event will offer free books and a snack to participating children, as well as door prizes and a wagon ride. Guests are also welcome to explore what the orchard has to offer.
